I hope you are in the pink of your health and enjoying the last few days of decent weather before the onset of scorching heat, and if you are reading this I believe it is your leisure time.
I am Prateek the founder, CEO and principal trouble maker at Brevistay.com. An orthodox back bencher, who always sat comfortably out of the reach of teacher’s stick, surrounded by fellow trouble makers at all times. Brevistay.com is nothing but an outcome of all that time spent thinking about use cases which will never appear in any syllabus nor will find a mention in any lecture. But I am happy that we have added some value in the lives of our 6 million customers (yes, I know there are only 3 million app downloads, but I also know for a fact that no one goes to Brevistay hotels alone 😉). Overall, we have made life a little “easy”.
Also, I feel that I have an obligation towards my customers to caution them against the perils of the internet ecosystem. I consider myself to be extremely lucky to have spent a substantial portion of my college life without a smartphone, away from the pitfalls of the internet. Sadly, that cannot happen now. Anything and everything that is required will come through or happen on that 6 inch screen, which I sometimes feel has become a body organ.
So, in line with our trouble making ethos we decided once again to play a prank on you to highlight how easy it is to loose track on the internet. How temptation can get the better of us, and how such moments of weakness are driving thousands of children into human trafficking every year.[1]
I know that we are living in the era of right swipes and left swipes and it appears that human beings have been commoditised but still there is a huge difference between consensual relationships and transactional relationships. To those who are struggling to find a loving partner, I say, just get the basics right and everything else will fall in place.
Another hobby that I have is to trawl the internet for online scams masquerading as product or services and a big share of such scams is formed by escort services and blackmail. I feel it is my duty to tell you that please don’t fall for such schemes, they are being run by antisocial elements hiding in plain sight ready to pounce on you without any notice.[2]
I hope my team did a good enough job in creating this prank – “Shadi-se-pehle.com” and I also hope that Anupam Mittal The OG Shark does not send us any legal notices for this bona fide mischief 🙂
